If you are getting the message 'There are no files in this folder' from your Directv Receiver but you're sure there are files in that folder then try these suggestions:

First, make sure you have 'Automatically Convert (transcode) media.' turned ON. If it is OFF then the only files you will be able to see are MPG's and MP3's. If your folder is full of WMV's or WAV's (or any other non MPG or MP3) they won't be shared unless transcoding is turned on and the folder will look like it is empty to Directv.

Second, if transcoding is turned on and you are still not seeing any files, then try creating a directory called test on your C drive and copying one media file into it. Then point TVShare to that test directory and see if you can see that one file on your receiver. If that works then try copy files over say 10 at a time until you can no longer view the files, then delete each of the last 10 you copied over one at a time until you can see the files again. That way you can determine if one particular media file is causing problems.
